Proverbs 16:31 (NLT)..,

FROM TODAY'S READING (1/29/2015)...

You know you're getting older when...
Most of your dreams are reruns...
You sit down in a rocking chair and you can't get it started...
Your mind makes commitments your body can't keep...
The little gray-haired lady you help across the street is your wife...
Everything hurts and what doesn't hurt doesn't work...
You sink your teeth into a juicy steak and they stay there...
You watch a pretty girl go by and your pacemaker makes the garage door open.

Proverbs 16:31 (NLT) Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained by living a godly life.

Proverbs 90:12 (NLT) Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.

Titus 2:2-3 (NLT) Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience.
Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good.
