Leviticus 19:15-16 (NLT)...

FROM TODAY'S READING (10/13/2016)...

Be careful with your words. Once they’re said, they can only be forgiven not forgotten.

The tongue has no bones, but is strong enough to break a heart.

Proverbs 10:18 (NLT) Hiding hatred makes you a liar; slandering others makes you a fool.

Leviticus 19:15-16 (NLT) Do not twist justice in legal matters by favoring the poor or being partial to the rich and powerful. Always judge people fairly. Do not spread slanderous gossip among your people. Do not stand idly by when your neighbor’s life is threatened. I am the LORD.

Romans 12:14-18 (NLT) Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them. Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
