Psalm19:1-6 (NLT)...

FROM TODAY'S READING (8/31/2016)...

"Atheism turns out to be too simple. If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning."
- C.S. Lewis

Psalms 19:1-6 (NLT) The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun. It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race. The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.

2 Timothy 2:23-26 (NLT)...

FROM TODAY'S READING (8/30/2016)...

Arguments drag out because one is too stubborn to forgive and the other is too proud to apologize.
- Unknown

2 Timothy 2:23-26 (NLT) Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.

Proverbs 13:20-21 (NLT)...

FROM TODAY'S READING (8/29/2016)...

Tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are.
- Unknown

Proverbs 13:20-21 (NLT) Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble. Trouble chases sinners, while blessings reward the righteous.

Psalms 26:4-5 (NLT) I do not spend time with liars or go along with hypocrites. I hate the gatherings of those who do evil, and I refuse to join in with the wicked.

1 Peter 1:6-7 (NLT)...

FROM TODAY'S READING (8/26/2016)...

A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.
- Unknown

1 Peter 1:6-7 (NLT) So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Philippians 4:4-5 (NLT)...

FROM TODAY'S READING (8/25/2016)...

"True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less.”
- C.S. Lewis

Philippians 4:4-5 (NLT) Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.

Ephesians 6:10-12 (NLT)...

FROM TODAY'S READING (8/24/2016)...

"My main ambition in life is to be on the devil’s most wanted list."
- Leonard Ravenhill

Ephesians 6:10-12 (NLT) A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV) Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

MATTHEW 25:14-21 (NLT)...

FROM TODAY'S READING (8/19/2016)...

YOU ARE AT THE TOP WHEN...

You know that "he who would be the greatest among you must become the servant of all."

You recognize, confess, develop and use your God-given physical, mental and spiritual abilities to the glory of God and for the benefit of mankind.

You stand in front of the Creator of the universe and He says to you, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."

Matthew 25:14-21 (NLT) Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone. He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip.

The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest the money and earned five more. The servant with two bags of silver also went to work and earned two more. But the servant who received the one bag of silver dug a hole in the ground and hid the master’s money.

After a long time their master returned from his trip and called them to give an account of how they had used his money. The servant to whom he had entrusted the five bags of silver came forward with five more and said, ‘Master, you gave me five bags of silver to invest, and I have earned five more.’

The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together! ’
