Proverbs 22:1, 3 (NLT)

FROM TODAY'S READING...

"He that gives good admonition and bad example builds with one hand and pulls down with the other.”

Francis Bacon (1561-1626)

English philosopher and statesman

Proverbs‬ ‭22‬:‭1‬, ‭3‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) Choose a good reputation over great riches; being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold...A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.

James‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭(NIV‬‬) Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
