FROM TODAY’S READING (2/8/2021)...
Today’s thought was derived directly from an article titled “10 Ways To Really Be More Like Jesus,” by James Emery White. I pray you find them as engaging and insightful as I did.
- Hang out with sinners (Luke 15:1, NIV).
- Afflict the comfortable (Matthew 23:25-27, NIV).
- Comfort the afflicted (Matthew 11:28-30, THE Message).
- Promote the dignity and worth of women (John 20:17-18, NLT).
- Protect children (Matthew 18:5-6, NIV).
- Care more about reaching the list than catering to the found (Luke 5:31-32, The Message).
- Care nothing about power, prominence, position or prestige (Philippians 2:5-7, NIV).
- Live simply (Matthew 10:9-10, NLT).
- Be anti-racist (John 4:7-9, NIV).
- Make sure it’s never about you (Mark 10:45, NLT).
Ephesians 5:1-2 (NLT) Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
