Psalm 1:1-2 (NLT)

FROM TODAY'S READING...

Three spiritually insightful questions to ask yourself regarding having a daily devotional time with God...

  1. Whose power do you want in this life?
  2. What else would you rather do than spend time with God?
  3. Who do you want calling the shots in your life?

Psalms‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.

‭‭

Mark‬ ‭1‬:‭35‬-‭38‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. Later Simon and the others went out to find him. When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.” But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.”

Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭4‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.
